Test on the actual device you plan to use daily, not just a laptop browser, because performance can differ between a Fire Stick, a smart TV app, and a phone.
Also check the channels and categories you actually care about, not just the big-name ones sellers highlight. A month that only shows you five popular channels working fine tells you little about the other few hundred. Free 24-hour trials have largely disappeared from serious providers — trial-only users rarely convert, so the effort isn't worth it — so don't read their absence as a warning sign. A provider with no cheap short plan and no stated refund window is the thing to be cautious about.
