Using a VPN Router for IPTV: Pros and Cons

Why Some Devices Need This

Older streaming boxes and MAG/STB devices often can't install a VPN app directly. Running the VPN at the router level covers them automatically without any per-device setup.

The Trade-off

Router-level VPN can be slower to configure and occasionally harder to troubleshoot than a per-device app, and it applies to every device on the network, not just your streaming box.
