Can You Run IPTV on a Raspberry Pi?

IPTV on a Raspberry Pi is possible via Kodi, but takes more setup effort than a Firestick for a comparable (or lower) result.

The Kodi Route

Installing Kodi with an IPTV Simple Client add-on on a Raspberry Pi (running LibreELEC or a similar media-center OS) gives a TV-guide-style interface with your Xtream Codes or M3U credentials.

Performance Expectations

Older Raspberry Pi models can struggle with 4K or large channel lists. A Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 handles standard HD streaming reasonably well, but won't outperform a dedicated Firestick 4K Max.

Is It Worth It?
